Eastside’s annual fundraising gala, April Foolery, returns to London’s West End.
This special night will feature some of the UK’s most beloved comedians for a hilarious evening of stand-up comedy at the Criterion Theatre.
The star line-up includes comedian, presenter, actor, writer, impressionist and voice-over artist Hugh Dennis; comedy stunt expert Simon Brodkin; poet, educator and spoken word theatre creator Justin Coe; comedian, author, satirical songwriter, musician and actor Mitch Benn, best known as the resident comic songwriter on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show; Radio 4 regular and host of BBC 2’s Quiz Show Lightening and Live at the Apollo, Zoe Lyons; comedy siren, crowd enchantress & heckler annihilator Cecily Hitchcock; stand-up comedian, writer, professional poker player and finalist of the 2015 BBC New Comedy Award Ken Cheng; one of the fastest rising names in British comedy Ola Labib and Kae Kurd whose debut stand-up special Kurd Your Enthusiasm received over 200K views on YouTube.
All proceeds of the event will be donated to Eastside Educational Trust, bringing joy and creative programmes to the most disadvantaged young people across the country.
